It is March Maple Madness time!! What better way to bring on the maple-ness than to recreate one of my previous recipes Apple Crisp with some Maple Oats!
Ingredients:
Serves 6
5-7 small apples This time I only had 4 apples but this just means more topping per apple! (No complaints here!)
2 packets of Bakery On Main Maple Instant Oatmeal (for those of you looking for a low sugar option, use our Traditional unsweetened oatmeal instead)
1/2 cup of Organic Brown Sugar (If you want you can use 1/3 cup or substitute it with a tbsp of maple syrup!)
1 tsp of Cinnamon
1 tsp of Nutmeg
1/2 cup of melted butter ( I used Earth Balance non-dairy spread)
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degree C).
2) Place the sliced apples in a large baking pan. Pour small amount of water in pan.
3) Combine the oatmeal, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and melted butter together. Crumble evenly over the apple mixture.
4) Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 45 minutes
This recipe is simple and so delicious. Enjoy by itself or a scoop of your favorite ice cream! A great fit would be this Vanilla Maple ice cream by Arctic Zero, or for a dairy free option, any of these desserts by So Delicious.
Peace, Love and Granola,
Whitney
Is it maple multigrain or maple muffin mix you used? Looks like you named two kinds of oatmeal mix. It is different under one of the pictures, so I am wondering. THX.
Hi, thank you for your question. We used only one flavor of our instant oatmeal and it was the Maple Multigrain Muffin. Thank you for bringing it to our question that it was not clear enough.
